Definitions

  • “Ascent Descent Adventures” is the company.
  • The term “client” refers to any person, business, corporation, or other legal representative who puts an account or purchases items or services from the company, as well as any of their workers, servants, agents, or sub-contractors.
  • Any course or service provided by the company is referred to as a service.
  • A contract is an agreement between a company and a client to provide products or services.
  • These terms and conditions of provision are referred to as Terms and Conditions.

Force Majeure

The company shall have no liability whatsoever in respect of any delay or failure in the delivery of any of the courses or of any of the company’s other obligations caused directly or indirectly by any cause whatsoever outside the reasonable control of the company, including but not limited to acts of God, war, invasion, rebellion, riot, civil commotion, disorder, malicious damage, fire, flood, epidemic, quarantine restriction, strikes or other industrial disputes, unusually severe weather, etc.

The Company’s Cancellation

While every effort is made to assure that training is held, the company shall notify the client of cancellation as soon as possible if it deems, on legitimate cause, that cancellation is required because of potentially hazardous and/or inappropriate training conditions.

The firm must notify the consumer of a probable cancellation at least three days before the start of the course if quantities have fallen below a feasible minimum due to either customer(s) cancellations or booked numbers.

Unless the conditions specified in the preceding articles, a customer’s claim to a reimbursement of travel expenditures incurred prior to the cancellation and since lost is unaffected by the company’s cancellation.

Customers who cancel will be provided with the following options:

  • A complete refund of the payment made; alternatively.
  • Other reservations are on a different day.
  • The company is not liable for any hotel costs acquired.

Cancellation by the Customer

If you need to cancel your training, you must inform Ascent Descent Adventures promptly in writing. We will cancel once we get your notification. Please be aware that the following cancellation fees will apply:

  • Cancellation charges are calculated from the date we receive the advice in writing.
  • If you cancel more than 60 days before your scheduled training dates, your entire payment will be refunded, excluding a registration fee of Rs. 8000 (US$ 100).
  • If you cancel between 45 and 30 days before your scheduled training dates, you will be charged 50% of the course fee.
  • If you cancel less than 30 days before your scheduled training dates, you will be charged 100% of the tour price.

Cancellation Insurance

We highly recommend that you consider travel insurance to cover any losses as a result of your inability to participate in any trip that you have paid for. It is very common for people to be unable to attend trips that they have paid fees for. In the event that you injure yourself before a trip, have a personal or family illness, encounter unexpected work obligations, etc. your trip fees are generally non-refundable. If you would like insurance for these situations your best option is to either self-insure or purchase trip cancellation and interruption insurance.

It’s a little price to pay for a sense of security and protection against financial loss if you need to cancel your place on a course for circumstances beyond your control.

Ascent Descent Adventures is a partner with Global Rescue and we highly recommend our clients enroll with Global Rescue.
