Dharamsura / White Sail Peak: Dharamsura, fondly referred to as White Sail Peak, stands as an emblem of challenge and grandeur in the heart of Himachal Pradesh’s awe-inspiring landscapes. The manifestation of the “Evil” peak, Papsura, towers over its counterpart, Dharmsura, also known as the “Peaks of Good” or “White Sail.” Towering at a formidable altitude of 6,446 meters, this peak beckons seasoned mountaineers with its demanding ascent, promising an expedition of both physical prowess and breathtaking vistas.

The journey to conquer Dharamsura unfolds over 22 intense days. Commencing in the vibrant town of Manali, adventurers embark on a picturesque drive to Kasol, setting the stage for the arduous climb southwest ridge. Trekking through the serene village of Tosh and ascending through Buddha Van, Saram Thatch, and Samsi Thach, the team gradually acclimatizes to the challenging mountainous terrain.

As the ascent progresses, climbers establish a base camp at Kuta Thach (4,230 meters), a strategic outpost for the final assault. The subsequent 12 days are dedicated to acclimatization and establishing higher camps, culminating in the ultimate push to the summit of Dharamsura. The panoramic views from the summit, aptly named White Sail, reward the perseverance of those who dare to conquer its formidable heights.

Descending through Tosh, the expedition concludes in Manali, leaving indelible memories of a challenging and triumphant journey to the crown jewel of the Indian Himalayas, Dharamsura (White Sail) Peak.

  • Includes: Professional guide, Permits, 2 people shared tent accommodation, all meals from day-1 lunch to day-22 lunch, drive from Manali to trek start point and back to Manali, safety equipment with first aid kit, other technical equipment, and all group climbing gear like ropes, anchors, slings, etc. 
  • Excludes: travel to and from Manali, sleeping bag, an individual climbing kit which would be hired climbing bootsice-axescrampons and gaiters, personal clothing items, phone calls, insurance, meals while driving, camera fee, cost incurred as a result of unanticipated situations like as terrible weather, landslides, road conditions, or any other factors beyond our control.

Dharamsura / White Sail Itinerary

Day 1-2: Manali

Begin your journey in the picturesque town of Manali, where preparations and initial briefings take place. Acquaint yourself with the team and ensure all arrangements are in order.

Day 3: Manali – Tosh

Embark on a scenic drive to Kasol, a charming village known for its stunning landscapes and vibrant culture. We will camp in a small village called Tosh beyond Kasol. Use this day to unwind and prepare for the challenging days ahead.

Day 4: Tosh – Buddha Van (2850m)

Continue the journey towards Tosh, a quaint village, and trek to Buddha Van, situated at an elevation of 2,850 meters. Begin to feel the gradual change in altitude.

Day 5: Buddha Van – Saram Thatch (3450m)

Trek to Saram Thatch at 3,450 meters, surrounded by lush greenery and captivating views. Start experiencing the mountainous terrain as you gain altitude.

Day 6: Saram Thatch – Samsi Thach (3760m)

Ascend to Samsi Thach, positioned at 3,760 meters, marking your progress into higher altitudes. Acclimatization becomes crucial at this stage.

Day 7: Samsi Thach – Kuta Thach/Base Camp (4230m)

Reach the base camp at Kuta Thach, located at 4,230 meters. This serves as the launchpad for the summit bid, and preparations for the climb intensify.

Day 8-20: Base Camp – Summit – Base Camp Climbing

The next 12 days are dedicated to acclimatization, establishing higher camps, and finally making the challenging ascent to the summit of Mt. Dharamsura / White Sail peak. The White Sail Peak offers panoramic views and a sense of accomplishment to those who conquer it.

Day 21: Base Camp – Tosh

Descend to Tosh, reflecting on the remarkable journey and celebrating the successful ascent.

Day 22: Tosh – Manali

Conclude the adventure with a return to Manali, bringing an end to the exhilarating expedition to Dharamsura (White Sail) Peak.
