Colonel Neeraj Rana

Col Rana is a man who has made India proud, notably in the outdoor adventure Industry in all the spheres of Earth: Air, Water, and Land. His perseverance and courage shine through in his short and direct speech.

Colonel Neeraj Rana was commissioned into the Indian Army’s Armoured Corps in 1989. He is an ardent mountaineer with 19 peaks to his tally, 14 of which he was Leader and twice as Deputy Leader, including three above 8000 m peaks: Mt. Everest, Kanchenjunga, and Mt Makalu. He specializes in paragliding and Para motors. Col Neeraj Rana represented India in the 2004 Pre-World Cup of Paragliding and served as a technical advisor for the Himachal Pradesh Government during the 2008 Pre-World Cup.

• The world record for white water rafting from Manali to Pong Dam is 260 km in 3 and a half days.
• The only person to have flown a paraglider from a height of 6850 m, from Mt Makalu, the world’s fifth highest peak.
• National Geographic Channel honors ‘Mission Everest.’
