Trek to Source of River Beas (Beas Kund)
TrekBeas Kund is the sacred Hindu lake from where the river Beas starts. The author of the Hindu epic Mahabharata and Vedas Rishi Vyas, comes for his daily bath at this lake and meditates on Rohtang Pass. This trek gives you a magnificent view of the Dhuladhar and Pir Panjal range of the great Himalayas and is surrounded by Hanuman Tibba, Friendship, Shitidhar, and Ladakhi peaks.

- Day 01: Manali – Bakkarthach 6-7 hrs
- Day 02: Trek Bakharthach – Source of River Beas – Bakharthach 6-7 hrs
- Day 03: Bakharthach – Manali 5 hrs

Beas Kund Trek Itinerary
Day 01 : Manali to Bakkarthach 5-6 hrs
After meeting the team in Manali short drive to the start of the trail.
- Drive Manali – Dhundi 1 hrs
- Trek Dhundi –Bakharthach (3351m) 3-4 hrs.
- Overnight camp at Bkharthach.
Day 02 : Trek Bakharthach to Beas Kund to Bakharthach 6-7 hrs
After breakfast, trek for 3 hours with a knapsack to the source of river Beas, have lunch by the lake, and return to Bkharthach.
- Trek Bakharthach – Beas Kund (3641m) 3-4 hrs.
- Switch back uphill for 1 -2 hrs then,
- 2-3 hrs gradual until Source of Beas Lake.
- Trek Beas Kund – Bakkarthach 2-3 hrs return on the same trail.
- Overnight camp at Bkharthach.
Day 03 : Bakharthach to Manali 5 hrs
Trek back to road head Dhundi and drive back to Manali.
- Trek Bakharthach – Dhundi 3-4 hrs.
- Drive Dhundi – Manali 1 hrs.
